Ticwatch GTH series came as a response to its arch-rival Xiaomi GTS series. Both lineups share some remarkable similarities: Squarish Design in which they both shamelessly ape Apple Watch, RTOS powered, plenty of health features, budget-oriented and solid battery performance.
The first watch in the Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH lineup, the original GTH, was released in April 2021. In less than a year, the company released Ticwatch GTH Pro (March 2022) with several improvements over its predecessor.
The main difference between Ticwatch GTH and Ticwatch GTH Pro is the brand new (Dual PPG) sensor that Mobvoi has incorporated in the Pro model. Other than that almost all other features are more and less the same.

TicWatch GTH Pro vs GTH: 5 Key Differences
From design to OS Ticwatch GTH Pro is a ditto copy of its predecessor. However, there are many improvements under the hood, especially in the health tracking department.
Let’s discuss 5 key differences between these two watches:
- There is a $20 difference in price between the two watches. The original GTH is priced at around $80 at the moment, whereas GTH Pro will cost you about 100 bucks.
- The TicWatch GTH Pro has a Dual PPG sensor instead of a single-mode PPG sensor in the original GTH. This allows the Pro version to get more detailed readings of your blood flow and thus provide you unique insights into arterial and overall health.
- For the Pro version, Mobvoi has partnered with CardieX, a world-renowned cardiovascular health tech company, to feature the Arty Heart Health platform. This partnership will allow Mobvoi access to CardieX’s years of expertise in the field of blood flow analytics and help it further improve the accuracy and precision of readings from the Dual PPG sensor.
- New metrics like TruHR score, eCAP, HSX, and Arty Age are incorporated into the GTH Pro thanks to cardiac. Here is an overview of these metrics: Arty Score – A general score of overall heart and arterial health based on proprietary heart health metrics, a number higher than your actual age means that you need to adopt an active lifestyle eCAP – (Exercise Capacity) – a measure of blood flow to inner heart muscles; ArtyAge– an estimated “age” of the arteries based on arterial stiffness; HSX (Heart Stress Index) – how hard your heart have to pump to move blood through stiff arteries; and TruHR – more accurate heart rate measurement than a wrist-based optical sensor.
- Though the sports profiles remain the same (14), the overall accuracy of the Ticwatch GTH Pro is much better.
