What We Don’t Like:

  • Vapor doesn’t support any built-in NFC/GPS feature.
  • Misfit tracking app has limited activity up to some certain applications, and you need some other sources for that.
  • Misfit tracking software needs to be operated manually; otherwise, it won’t track the activity just like other software.

In this Misfit Vapor Review, we will give you every minute details of the watch that will help you in a better understanding of Misfit Vapor. .

Display

Misfit Vapor Smartwatch is not the most minimal or sleek smartwatch. Rather it is a bit chunky. It offers a round display with all the hardware you could imagine.

Stainless steel body makes it as thick and heavy as 13.5mm. However, in comparison with other bulky watches, Misfit is quite light-weight. Misfit features only one hardware button, usually where you find a crown of other watches.

Screen size

The watch offers a bold and vibrant look with a 1.3-inch AMOLED display, which in my personal opinion is too small. Competitors like the Fitbit Versa series offer about 0.2-0.3 inch more in terms of screen size.

Moreover, the watch offers 326 pixels per inch, so you must expect a crystal clear picture of the display. User Interface would be the last thing that may disappoint you.

Straps

Misfit Vapor does not offer a wide variety of straps. There is one fixed silicon strap, but it is of superior quality and provides extreme comfort.

Water Resistance

The stainless steel body also supports the water-resistant feature as it can be good for rafting and swimming purposes. It can be submerged in 5meters in water. Keep in mind that the touch features won’t work in water.

MISFIT VAPOR: FITNESS AND HEALTH FEATURES

Heart Rate:

Misfit Vapor Smartwatch tracks heart rate anytime and anywhere but the sensors are not the advanced ones as we could find in a fitbit or samsung watch. So, the watch doesn’t provide data as accurate as it should have.

Other than heart rate, it has little to offer as a fitness tracker. So if fitness is your top priority, ditch this watch, go find the fitness tracker. We would recommend Fitbit Charge series for the most accurate and reliable data.

Activity Tracking

Unlike any other smartwatch, Vapor is also capable of tracking down your different activities such as walking, running, and hiking. A major drawback of the watch is that it doesn’t track swimming.

SMARTWATCH FEATURES:

Notification Alert

Vapor is capable of showing you all the notifications from your social sites.
You can get notified of your emails, texts and even allows you to make phone calls if you’re connected with Bluetooth.

And thanks to on-board google assistant, you can transcribe your voice messages to text. Surprisingly enough, this smartwatch supports text replies for android which judging by its release date is truly extraordinary.

Standalone Music Player

Another amazing thing that is being offered in Vapor is its onboard music feature which is quite interesting. This feature is clearly an advantage without a doubt as you don’t have to take your phone with you all the time. Most importantly, when you go running or to the gym.

Control Smart Home Devices Right From your Wrists:

Misfit Vapor doesn’t have the speaker, rather they have a microphone. The Google Wear OS has been hated by a lot of users for its complex UI, but it has one major advantage. Google Assistant.

You can transcribe voice to text, and via google assistant, can control smart devices at your home. However, keep it in mind, that using google assistant on this smartwatch is largely a hit and a miss affair.

MISFIT VAPOR: BATTERY LIFE

Misfit Vapor Smartwatch has a certain label of all day long working battery. However, the battery is dependent on the types of apps that you use, For example, with Bluetooth, GPS, and heart rate, your battery may run out pretty fast.

VERDICT:

Misfit Vapor offers all the best quality features at a low tag price as any other smartwatch is offering it. It provides all the advanced features that you’re looking for, from a big, bold screen to heart rate tracking and  notifications alert. However, it lacks in battery performance and certain design aspects (specifically the weight.)

Frequently asked Question About Misfit Vapor Smartwatch:

Is Misfit Vapor Smartwatch Waterproof?

Yes, this Misfit Vapor watch is waterproof to a fair degree. But don’t get duped by false advertisement, you can certainly swim with the watch on your wrist, but up to 5m depth and not 50m. The latter figure is touted by the company largely to lure the buyers.

Misfit Vapor Vs Fitbit Charge Or Misfit Vapor Vs Fitbit Versa? Which One Is Better And Why?

The Fitbit charge series is a fitness tracker band and by any comparison they will be better than smartwatches, let aside Misfit smartwatches. Reason? First Fitbit is a one of the pioneers, and secondly a premium fitness band has one and only one job to do. So, a premium one would nail it.

A smartwatch on the other hand has to cut many corners to fit the price tag and therefore has to compromise on many features. Fitness tracking usually makes it to the list. So a Misfit Vapor smartwatch will always be inferior to Fitbit Charge unless you are comparing a very latest version of watch to an outdated fitness tracker.

Misfit Vapor and Fitbit Versa are in the same ball game. However, all fitbit versa watches are better than Misfit competitors except for one thing, design. One of the best Fitbit smartwatch is Versa 2.

Misfit Vapor Battery Life With Or Without Gps?

Misfit Vapor, despite being an android smartwatch, has a short battery life of one day or 24 hours. On the top of that, it doesn’t offer much in terms of fitness tracking. GPS, Wifi drains the battery of Vapor watch more than any other feature

If You Have To Name, What Is The Most Painful  Drawback Of Misfit Vapor Watch?

Certainly, the Misfit proprietary app is the major drawback. If it were to compete with the likes of Apple series, Fitbit Versa and Samsung Galaxy watch, Misfit would have to back their hardware with a solid hardware.

The connectivity problems should be fixed and the bugs should be timely removed. To up the ante against other brands, they should work on the interface of the app.
